What This Service Involves

Brine trucks apply a liquid salt solution before a storm to stop ice from bonding to pavement, an anti-icing approach ideally suited to Western Washington's freezing-rain and refreeze events. Because the brine is already in solution, it goes to work the instant precipitation arrives, unlike granular products that must first dissolve. We spray brine across lots and walks ahead of forecast freezing, cutting the amount of material needed and making post-storm clearing far easier. This proactive treatment is especially effective against the thin, hard-to-see glaze our climate produces.
