Ramps connecting parking levels or leading into garages are where vehicles lose traction first during a Puget Sound freeze. The transition from an open, snow-covered ramp to a dry interior deck causes drivers to spin or slide right at the pinch point. We clear ramps completely and carry the treatment through the crest and base where ice concentrates. Where a ramp is covered but its approach is exposed, we focus on the open section that actually freezes.

1) Clear the full ramp surface from base to crest; 2) Remove bonded ice at the top and bottom transitions; 3) Apply traction material along the entire incline; 4) Recheck the exposed approach after melt-refreeze cycles
