Keeping You Moving. Beyond Expectations.
We clear gas station lots and fuel islands around the clock so Western Washington drivers refuel safely in winter.
Gas stations in Roy have to stay open and reachable when snow falls. Pumps, entrances, walkways to the store and the apron around the canopy all need to be clear. Roy has 1 gas station on the map, the Shell.
Washington Snow Removal is licensed, bonded and insured. We plow and treat gas station lots from our Bothell yard, which is 104 minutes from Roy. Call 206-809-9669 to talk through your lot and how we would work it.

A gas station lot is not like an open field. Vehicles stop and start at the pumps, and customers walk from the pump island to the door. Plowing has to work around the canopy columns, pump islands, air and vacuum stations and the entrances from the road.
Roy averages 6.2 in of snow per season, and only 1.8 days a year bring 1 in or more. Plow events are rare, about 1.82 in an average season. But when they come, they can be large. Since 2005 the biggest storms were Feb 11–15, 2021 with 15.4 in total, Jan 15–19, 2012 with 12.9 in, and Feb 9, 2019 with 7.4 in. The biggest single day was 8.3 in.
Ice is the more regular problem. Roy sees 42 freezing nights from October to April and about 3.45 light-snow days that need deicing. Wet pavement around fuel islands can glaze over with no snow at all.

Pump lanes and parking stay open for constant fuel traffic; the fuel island is deiced where drivers step out repeatedly; the store approach keeps convenience traffic flowing; round-the-clock response covers a station that never closes; a safe, open site keeps fuel and store revenue coming
