Keeping You Moving. Beyond Expectations.
We manage existing snow piles over the season so they never become a hazard or an obstruction.
Snow Pile Management in Steilacoom means moving and stacking plowed snow so it stays out of driveways, parking stalls, walkways and sight lines. Washington Snow Removal is licensed, bonded and insured, and we dispatch from our Bothell yard, 89 minutes away.
Steilacoom does not get snow often. The average is 4.7 in per season, and only 1.6 days a year bring 1 in or more. But when it comes, piles can sit. There are 37 freezing nights from October to April, so plowed snow can freeze into hard ridges. Call 206-809-9669 to talk through your property.

Pile management starts after the plowing. Snow gets pushed to the edges of a lot, and those piles can block stalls, drains and drivers' views at exits. We use equipment to push piles back, lift them and restack them in a spot that keeps the property usable.
Steilacoom's pattern shapes how we plan this. Big snow is rare, but it does happen. The biggest day since 2005 brought 5.8 in. The storm of Feb 12–15, 2021 totaled 9.9 in, with 5.4 in on its biggest day. Other storms include Dec 21–22, 2008 at 6.5 in total and Jan 11, 2007 at 4.5 in. There have been 11 winter storm and heavy snow reports since 2005, and Winter Storm Warnings average 0.57 a year. With 37 freezing nights, meltwater can refreeze at the base of a pile, so placement matters.
