What This Service Involves

Crosswalks on campuses, in retail centers, and along private roads get buried twice: once by falling snow and again by the berm a plow throws to the curb. Pedestrians in Western Washington rarely have winter footing gear, so a packed crossing becomes a real hazard. We clear crosswalks to the pavement and knock down the plow berm at each end so there is no ice wall to climb. Ramp landings and curb cuts are opened so the crossing stays usable for everyone.

Our Process

1) Clear the crossing surface down to the pavement; 2) Knock down and remove the plow berm at both ends; 3) Open the curb cuts and ramp landings; 4) Apply traction grit across the crossing
