What This Service Involves

Park-and-ride facilities fill early with commuters who arrive before dawn and return after dark, bracketing the coldest hours of a Western Washington snow day. We open travel lanes, clear parking stalls in phases, and keep the shuttle and bus-stop pads safe on both ends of the commute. The pedestrian route from the far stalls to the transit shelter gets de-iced because that is the longest cold walk riders face. Service is timed so the lot is ready before the first commuters roll in.

1) Map lot lanes, stalls, and transit stop pads; 2) Pre-treat walkways and stop pads before snowfall; 3) Plow lanes and clear stalls in phases pre-dawn; 4) De-ice pedestrian routes and re-treat before evening return
