Keeping You Moving. Beyond Expectations.
Keep raw materials arriving and finished goods shipping by having your plant’s shipping yards, employee lots, and pedestrian routes cleared before each shift.
Washington Snow Removal clears snow and ice from manufacturing plant lots, truck docks, and walkways in Roy, Pierce County. We are based in Bothell, and we are licensed, bonded and insured. Roy has 2 industrial sites mapped within its limits.
Snow is not common here. Roy averages 6.2 in per season and sees 1.8 days a year with 1 in or more. But a storm can shut down shipping and shift changes when it comes. Call 206-809-9669 to set up service for your plant.

A plant has more than a parking lot. Trucks need clear approaches, docks and gate lanes. Employees need safe walks from the lot to the door. We plow the main lanes first, then work the dock aprons, then hand-clear entries and sidewalks.
Roy's pattern is mostly ice, not deep snow. There are 42 freezing nights from October to April, and about 3.45 light-snow days a year that need deicing. A dusting on a cold night can leave a slick lot at the start of a shift. Salt or ice melt is often the right tool, more than a plow.
Big storms do happen. Near Roy, a spotter at 2 NE Yelm measured 11 in on Feb 13, 2021, after 7 in at Yelm the day before. Since 2005 there have been 11 winter storm and heavy snow reports. A site with no plan can be stuck in that kind of event.
