Keeping You Moving. Beyond Expectations.
Salt application melts existing ice and prevents new formation on the pavement surfaces that keep your Western Washington property moving.
Roy sees little snow in a typical winter, about 6.2 in per season. But it logs 42 freezing nights between October and April, and a thin glaze of ice on a walkway or lot can cause as much trouble as a snowfall.
Washington Snow Removal applies salt to Roy properties from our Bothell yard. We are licensed, bonded and insured. Bulk salt is applied at $300 per ton. Call 206-809-9669 to talk through your site and schedule a dispatch.

Salt application is about stopping ice from bonding to pavement. In Roy, that matters more than plowing. Snow on the ground shows up only about 4 days a year, and days with 1 in or more average 1.8. Freezing nights are far more common, at 42 from October to April.
Recent events show the pattern. Heavy Snow was logged on Dec 21, 2008, Feb 5, 2017 and Feb 22, 2018. A Winter Weather event followed on Dec 1, 2022. The area averages 3.38 Winter Weather Advisories a year, and two ice storm reports have been logged since 2005.
A salt visit usually involves:
Pricing is simple. Bulk salt applied is $300 per ton. The truck with driver is $325 per hour, and a crew member is $110 per person-hour. Bagged ice melt is $45 per 50 lb bag.
